Coccinelle Mbankolo, its 8:30am Thursday morning.

A little lad crosses the road to empty his garbage. He is frightened by what he meets at the public garbage can: The foetus of a 7 months baby lay lifeless attached in a wrapper cloth. The boy rushes home and alerts the mother who doesn’t belief. Like Thomas, she and other neighbours move on to the rubbish can to see for themselves.

Horrified by the macabre, the population calls the 117. In an introspective research, it is discovered that the wrapper cloth belonged to a lady in the quarter, just like in the story of Moses! The forces of law and order together with the mob matched to the lady’s house. In a scene of panic, the lady finally admitted that she’s the one who prescribed the abortive portion to her daughter who had earlier vamoosed in nature. More so, bed sheets were found stained with blood in the girl’s room.

The lady and her second daughter were arrested and brought to the Mbankolo Gendarmerie brigade for further investigation. The girl who committed this crime, Christine’s sister, over 19 years of age is a thin, tall and light in complexion girl known as an agitated and pompous beautiful young lady that has made hearts beat and broken others. Many say she could not bear the shame of walking in the quarter with a “golden stomach.”! But is that a valid reason fro preventing a young Cameroonian from seeing the light of the day? That’s the question.
