It's not an easy task to be a Christian for patience is something to be cultivated in a Christian life. The christians of Yaounde had a good lesson of patience at the occasion of a pilgrimage organised by various parishes of Yaounde.
From Mendong, through Tsinga, Mokolo and Mbankolo parishes, the beleivers matched in prayer from the Mbankolo junction right up the Mont fébé Monastry.
This tedious journey on a Saturday morning was made more difficult by the hot sun which prevailed. Arriving the Marial grotto at mont fébé, the Christians had to wait for the assistant vicar general of the Yaounde Archdiocese to come and celebrate the mass.
“Mon Seigneur” was more than two hour late for the ceremony. Some Christians fainted because of fatigue or hunger and others simply sneaked away and went back home.
By the time the Bishop came in his beautiful car, the rain was also threatening the atmosphere. Luckily, all is well that ended well.
